We are pleased to be offering Cadillac CUE screen replacement for our clients in Lake City and surrounding areas. Pinnacle Autosound stocks premium CUE screens to replace aged or failing screens. Let’s take a look at the process of replacing a CUE screen in a Cadillac XTS.
Cadillac CUE Screen Replacement Starts With Disassembly
The process of replacing a Cadillac CUE screen involves disassembling the vehicle to gain access to the radio assembly. We have over 50 years of experience in disassembling cars, so this is where we shine. We have all the tools and knowledge necessary to take apart and put back together any vehicle. If we run across any vehicle that we need help with, we can access our Mitchell1 software for a glimpse into how the car is assembled. For this Cadillac XTS, we had to remove several trim pieces before we could access the mounting hardware for the radio. Once those pieces were removed, we were able to remove the hardware and get the radio out of the vehicle and on our workbench.
Cadillac CUE Screen Replacement
The CUE screen on this radio was hazed and cracked, as many do. The result was a screen that would not respond to touch commands. With the screen on our workbench we began to remove all the hardware that held the screen to the rest of the radio assembly. We have to take meticulous care of the screen and corresponding cables. Some of the cable connectors are very fragile. We have installed over 30 CUE screens, so we know just how to work with the cables and connectors safely.
Dash Assembly and Testing
Now that the new CUE screen was successfully replaced it was time to put the radio assembly back in the vehicle and follow the reverse order of installing the trim pieces. Turning the car on for the first time, the screen was much easier to see and now very responsive to touch commands. The composition of the premium screens we use is better than the factory and will last longer than the original screen.
